During the first gameplay reveal in Los Angeles yesterday , Bungie executives took the stage to outline the substantial quality of life improvements the sequel will introduce to make this happen. Go somewhere, do what you have to do, go to orbit, pick a new place, go there, then go to orbit again. Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. Open your navigation window wherever you are! Pick new missions or objectives to focus on, and see your current status on all your various quests with a single button press. You can even launch new missions right from within social spaces, with no need to return to orbit unless you actually want to.

It appears that Bungie listened to feedback during the console beta that said skill-based matchmaking should be toned down or removed in the casual Quickplay playlist. To further emphasize the more casual experience, Bungie is also extending the score cap for a match and adjusting the Mercy Rule trigger: Matchmaking times will be shorter, with less emphasis on Skill.
